Description: Steve Trimmer introduced by Dan Trimmer in 1999. 5 ½ inch blooms on 28 inch scapes. This pale yellow with wine purple eye and edge is a garden favorite. Typical bud count is 35, on widely spaced branches held above vigorous plants. In the shade almost every bloom will set a pod. Segment width and ruffling probably comes through the converted Spalding, WINGS OF CHANCE which is the pollen parent of KISSES LIKE WINE. Steve is a wonderful parent for those working with yellows with eyes and edges. We already have so many wonderful lavender and cream flowers I’m glad to have finally found a yellow with so many attributes. Honorable Mention 2004.
